Singapore National Stadium. It's more than just a place you frequent when weekends get bored. It's more than just a place you stood and waved at the President/Prime Minister after he did the long dreaded parade checks. It's more than just a place you could stand in the middle of the field and go "Woahh...damn big liao." National Stadium - it's more than just a freaking place. It's MEMORIES.

Imagine you walking into the national stadium and wondering where all the time went, would the memories fade, would the friends last, was it all truly worth it, the ups, the downs, the sweat, the tears, the pain, the heartache, the "wasted" time, the sunburns, the dehydration and hard work?

I mean, you might think i'm weird. National Stadium? For God's sake. It's just like any other stadium. Maybe to you it is....but to TKBand, definitely not. The National Stadium is where we create histories and achieve victories. For five times in a row. =) We truly define excellence. Four is fantastic. But five is immortality. Haha. In words of Azlan, "How. To. Lose?" *grins*

Though as an alumni and a spectator of the competition, the joy of hearing the announcer going, "...and The Best Display Band of the year 2006 award goes to.....a school. And the name of the school is...TANJONG KATONG SECONDARY SCHOOL BAND!" isn't as estatic as when you're on that field for yourself, the enthusiasm never once depreciate. The friends are still around, the pain has faded, but the laughter still rings free. Yes, i do feel out of place now with the current band batch, but i know that i was part of a great and awesome legacy, that hopefully will continue to inspire and mold future generations. I'm glad i chose TKBand, and I'm proud to say i was bandit . Because, in the end, it was all worth it.

Anoneh Pakuke. Congratulations and thank you TKBand. =)

Wish you could witness the band comp. It was unbelievable. Oh by the way, I MISS YOU. ='(
